Fashion rules are meant to be broken, and lately that includes wearing denim on denim.
Once a faux pas, now a trend has been around for decades. Many people think that the old “Canadian tuxedo” is an absolute no, however, when it’s done right, it can look great. After getting a bad name for itself for quite a while (remember Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards?), denim on denim is back! So should you or shouldn’t you double up on your denim?
The trick for getting it right is all in the pieces you choose:
  • Make sure that the washes and colours are completely different from each other, the weight of the fabrics should vary as well

  • Make sure that your pieces fit you perfectly. Pairing together a baggy pair of jeans and a wrong fitting shirt is not a good look, neither is the combination of a baggy denim jacket and bad fitting jeans.
